John Conrad Otto, Philadelphia physician, was born on 15 Mar. 1774. He married Eliza Tod in 1803; they had nine children. Otto died on 26 June 1844. Otto attended Princeton University, receiving an A.B., 1792, and A.M., 1795. He then studied in the office of Benjamin Rush in Philadelphia and received an M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1796.
